Apple WWDC 2023 from 5 June: Mixed Reality Headset, Mac Pro, and iOS 17 Take Center Stage

The annual Worldwide Developers Conference, or WWDC, will take place online from June 5 to June 9 according to a statement made by Apple on Wednesday. Similar to last year, there will be an offline element to it, with the business hosting an in-person event at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, for a small group of people.

This year's WWDC will be our "largest and most exciting ever," according to Susan Prescott, vice president of Global Developer Relations at Apple. Naturally, Apple hasn't disclosed what it intends to introduce at the business's largest developer-focused event. As in recent years, Apple is expected to release new versions of its software platforms, including iOS, macOS, iPadOS, WatchOS, and more, at the multi-day conference. Keep an eye out for WatchOS 10 and iOS 17, which are almost a guarantee.

Reportedly, Apple has introduced new hardware during its WWDC event over the years. If Cupertino made an announcement about new Mac hardware at the event, it wouldn't be shocking. For over a year, the business has been hinting at a desktop Mac Pro designed for professionals. The long-awaited computer should be unveiled at WWDC 2023 since it will be targeted at programmers and developers. Also, there are rumors about a 15-inch MacBook Air. Apple may potentially make a major announcement during the conference about its much-awaited mixed-reality headset.

Cupertino giant has been working on the gadget for more than 7 years. Apple often waits a few extra years before entering a new product sector with its rivals. Apple Watch, the company's most recent significant new product category, was teased in the fall of 2014 and debuted the following year. Extended reality (XR), however, has a small market for headsets and no practical use that provides a strong argument for purchasing an expensive headset.
