The Apple CEO used to dine at his father's Silicon Valley restaurant, which he frequented. His father described his son as a "wonderful tipper."
Walter Isaacson, Steve Jobs' biographer, disclosed on Sunday night's episode of 60 Minutes that Steve Jobs accidentally met his biological father. In interviews with the CBS news magazine, Isaacson published audio of Jobs discussing the meeting. He publishes a biography of Jobs on Monday.
The former Apple CEO used to frequent a restaurant in Silicon Valley that Jobs' father Abdulfattah Jandali oversaw.
“I was in restaurant once or twice and I remember meeting the owner who was from Syria. And it was most certainly. And I shook his hand and he shook my hand. And that’s all,” Jobs addressed Isaacson.
He didn't discover the man from the restaurant was his original father until much later when he met Mona Simpson, his biological sister.
Only in 2006 did Jandali, who now resides in Nevada, find that Jobs was his son.
A number of media sources interviewed Jandali regarding his son's health after Jobs' resignation as Apple CEO in late August.
But he avoided talking to Jobs.
Jandali told the journalists, "This might sound strange, though, but I am not prepared, even if either of us was on our deathbeds, to pick up the phone to call him, Steve will have to do that, as the Syrian pride in me does not want him ever to think I am after his fortune.”

They didn't ever talk again. Years later, Jandali discovered it.
