Elon Musk claims that Twitter will introduce a zero-ad subscription model.

Elon Musk announced that he will change the size and frequency of the adverts that display on Twitter and that he will introduce a more expensive membership service with no ads.

"Ads are too frequent on Twitter and too big. Taking steps to address both in coming weeks," Musk wrote on Twitter on Saturday. On what would be done or how the new subscription model will be charged, he made no specific mention.

Since purchasing the platform in October, Musk has worked to diversify the company's revenue streams away from advertising, banking on "Twitter Blue" subscription fees. As advertisers stop using the site due to reservations about its moderation practises, the company is fighting to stop the decline in its ad revenue. With regard to the platform, Musk has stated that he does not want it to become into a "free-for-all hellscape."
In a further policy change, Twitter recently lifted a three-year restriction on political advertising. According to a story published by the Information earlier this month, Twitter cut roughly 40 of its data scientists and engineers who worked in advertising at the beginning of this year.
